Some of you may know that I already had the 25mm Curling Iron from Modiva and that I love it to bits!!
Modiva have now brought out the 32mm and 13mm Professional Curling Irons to add to the range and now they are all in sleek white, the 32mm being more suited to mid to long hair and the 13mm for mid to shorter hair.
The 32mmIron looks exactly the same as the 25mm but bigger, it has the 360 deg swivel cord, heats to 210 deg Celcius, has a 100% tourmaline barrel, clipless barrel, heats quickly and comes with a heat protective glove (bonus).
I have always found the Modiva Curling Irons to create wonderful long lasting curls and highly recommend them.
The only drawbacks are the high heat setting but of course you just don’t leave them on your hair for too long, judge for yourself and your hair thickness, usually between 7 – 10 seconds.

Stay Red and Racy with Sunsilk!!!
Do you love ‘Red Hair’? I have to admit I do, especially that beautiful soft deep velvet red. Celebrities have been rocking the Red for some time now with Rihanna and Ariana both sporting the vibrant colour on a regular basis and lately the ‘Red’ is becoming more mainstream with all shades appearing in the streets from ginger strawberry and soft red through to fiery electric!
Unfortunately for me, my school has very strict guidelines on what is and what is not acceptable :( and I’m thinking the shade I’d go for would fall in the ‘is NOT acceptable’ category!! hehehe This does not prevent me from admiring others who can wear this colour with style. :D

Something to remember when dyeing your hair a different colour is that you will probably need to adjust your makeup to compliment it, this may also include adjusting the shade of your eyebrows. Play around with your makeup and find out what looks great both inside and out, get a bff to help with this if you have to, you know the ‘brutally honest’ bff who gives you tuff love!!!! Hahaha :D
Hopefully one day in the future I'll get to go Red and when I do I know there'll be a product to help keep it that way :)

Dyeing my Hair with L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss
It's that time again, my ends were getting quite 'brassy' which isn't a look I care for so off to the supermarket I go for a new hair colour :) This time around it's 'L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss' in 'Dark Chocolate' .... love the name :)
My hair is naturally mid-dark brown so going darker for me is just what I do. I don't like the 'orangey browns' that much or the 'purple browns' so I tried to keep the colour pretty natural looking .... don't want to go upsetting the school at this late stage of the game now do I?
The instructions were simple to follow and pretty well explained, I like the way the box has a hole cut out for holding the bottle. I don't like the metal squeezy bottle that the formula came in, I always feel like these can break open at any time when squeezing the last drops out!
Same procedure as with most home dyes, mix formula and activator together, shake well before opening and then open before exploding :) put some vaseline around your hairline to help prevent staining, place an old towel around your shoulders and be sure to put your gloves on .... then apply to sections of hair on top first (especially if you have regrowth) and work your way around leaving the ends 'til last. Leave on for approx 20 mins (I left mine on for 25 cos I was watching a show and forgot to look at the time oooooops!) all was good - then rinse off thoroughly with warm water until it runs clear, apply conditioner, leave for a couple of mins and then rinse out. TA DA ..... freshly dyed hair! :) Oh, and the smell wasn't too bad either.
I'm happy with this colour, it doesn't make my face look too pale or grey and it doesn't have too much 'red' in the sun making it look 'too fake' at school.

Shiny Voluminous Beachy Waves with VS Sassoon Big Hair Styler
I was fortunate to be sent the 'Big Hair Styler' in early March from VS Sassoon to trial and review, as you know I am a big fan of their products and this is a great addition to their range that actually does make my hair shinier and increases the volume just like it says it does. It has two rotation buttons and two heat settings and is ideal for medium to long hair, the soft bristles of the brush help to create softness, shine and a slight wave effect, you also get a plastic sleeve to cover the brush part when not in use for protection.

It does take time getting used to the rotation control but like everything else, practice makes perfect. I found it works best when your hair is just slightly damp (about 80% dry), you wouldn't want to use it on 'wet' hair. I probably wouldn't recommend using heat on your hair every day, but for a nice change this is a cool product.
Probably the only thing I disliked about this product is the plastic material it is made with, I just think it makes it look a little 'tacky' for the price.
The 'Big Hair Styler' was brought out in time for Mother's Day in Australia but I think it's great for any person looking for this type of product. It is also easier to use than a brush and hairdryer. It retails for AU$99.95.
