Sigma Brushes - Update

This is just a little update on what's happening over at Sigma Beauty, Sigma has been hard at work updating their line of brushes etc. Their best selling Professional brush kit with it's 15 brushes now comes in a 'delux carrying case' rather than the brush roll it used to come in. This was something that was requested by many people when Sigma brought out their 'Extravaganza' range before Christmas ... thanks Sigma :)

This brush kit sells for $149.00 (including the case)
Kit holds 15 brushes securely
Smart looking new case :)
Another item Sigma has added to recently is their Cleansing and Polishing tool, originally it came with three different brush attachments, soft, medium and hard for exfoliating and polishing your skin. You can now buy three more attachments to compliment the kit that are designed to 'create the ultimate spa experience'. There is an extra soft brush, massager and a pumice stone which is great for your rough spots :) The full new kit is call 'Spa Solutions'.

NEW Sigma ‘Extravaganza Face Kit’

18K Gold Brushes anyone?

Ok, now I know that this kit won’t be for everyone .... but ‘WOW’, isn’t it pretty :)

I think that this face kit would be great for the girl that has almost everything and is wanting some ‘luxury’ in her makeup bag. With four face brushes that have 18k gold plated ferrules and natural bristles they come together with a deluxe carry case which is perfect for travelling and they just scream LUXURY!!! :)

Brushes included:
F90 – Fan Brush
F92 – Blush Brush
F94 – Kabuki Brush
F95 – Powder Brush

Of course you will have to pay for these babies and that price is $210.00 which makes them a little out of reach for the average teenage girl wanting to buy a few good brushes, hehehe but something we can all dream about.

Visit Sigma Beauty HERE for great makeup brushes.

NEW Sigmax Synthetic Collection!

Sigma have added to their range of synthetic brushes recently with five new brushes, it's always nice to hear there are more synthetic brushes abailable.  They have released one more large face brush and four small face brushes which you could almost say were miniatures of the larger ones.  I am in the process of trialing these new additions for a review which I will have on my Channel shortly.  In the meantime you can read what Sigma has to say about their new brushes below.

With its tapered design, the F86 is perfect for application of liquid, cream and powder products to precise areas on the face. The F86 is also an ideal contouring brush. It applies the perfect amount of product to the right areas for that flawless, sculpted look that every woman desires. This brush is revolutionary to the beauty industry and very unique in quality and design. It is the perfect addition to any makeup kit. The F86 will be sold individually for $16 or as part of the Synthetic Kabuki Kit (F80, F82, F84 and F86) sold for $56.

The new Synthetic Precision Kit contains the P80, P82, P84 and P86. The P80 is a small, flat top brush that is ideal to conceal blemishes, sun spots and small imperfections on the skin. It can be used to stipple concealer on defined areas, followed by precise application of setting powder.  The rounded P82 brush was designed to mimic your fingertips, making this brush ideal to apply eye shadow primers.  It can also be used for the precise application of highlight shades on the bridge of the nose, cheek bones and cupid’s bow. The small angled top of the P84 makes this brush perfect for precise contouring of the sides of the nose and contouring the hollows of the cheek bones. It can also be used to highlight the brow bone. Lastly, the unique tapered shape of the P86 brush is ideal for application of concealer under the eyes and in defined areas such as the sides of the nose, chin and around the mouth. This brush can also be used to perfectly apply concealer around the lips to prevent color bleeding. Each of these brushes will be sold individually for $14 or as the Synthetic Precision Kit (P80, P82, P84 and P86) for $49.

If you want to try out all of the synthetic must haves, the Synthetic Essential Kit is for you! This collection contains all eight face brushes specifically designed for a high definition, flawless makeup application. The shape, density and height of each brush were designed to complement the different areas and shapes of the face. The Synthetic Essential Kit has everything you need to achieve a perfect and flawless look!  It is now available from Sigma Beauty for $99.

NEW - Sigma Eyeshadow Pallets

Sigma have released their new line of makeup called 'Dare, Bare and Flare Eyeshadow Pallets', yes there are three different ones each contain 8 colours, a mixture of matte and shimmers and a double ended brush, each brush in these pallets are also different which is so much nicer than getting a little sponge brush applicator! I haven't tried these pallets myself yet but from what I've heard and seen on them they look pretty good and appear to live up to Sigma's standards.  The packaging looks study with a large mirror and magnetic closure.

This is what Sigma has to say about these new pallets:

The Sigma Beauty DARE palette includes the perfect mix of vibrant and neutral shades represented by warm and cool tones. This palette contains beautiful yet unexpected hues from neutral corals to deep reds and includes surprisingly wearable yellow and gold tones. DARE allows you to create colorful looks that can be easily accentuated with bright or deep colors. Go from day to night in seconds! Includes Sigma Beauty’s best-selling E20 and E45 in an exclusive dual-ended brush.  Contains matte and satin formulations.

The Sigma Beauty BARE palette is a must for everyday use. Ideal to create classic neutral looks, BARE is perfect for accentuating your best features without too much color distraction. Highlight inner corners, emphasize your crease, brighten your brow bone and enhance your lash line.  With BARE’s color selection, you can easily create day and night looks seamlessly and as subtle or as bold as you wish.  BARE is perfect for a natural yet improved you! Includes Sigma Beauty’s best-selling E30 and E25 in a unique dual-ended brush. Contains matte and satin formulations.

The Sigma Beauty FLARE palette contains a beautiful combination of greens and purples, combined with browns and beiges that are perfect to create fun and colorful looks! This palette includes beautiful iridescent undertones, which offer a must have selection of bright, yet sophisticated hues. FLARE is perfect for those days when you want to highlight your eyes with fun and flirty colors! Includes Sigma Beauty’s best-selling E55 and E40 in a practical dual-ended brush. Contains matte and satin formulations.

These pallets sell for $35.00 (US) each which is quite reasonable, especially because they include 'real' brushes.

What's making me smile right now .....

It's Autumn in Australia right now and the weather is so delicious, cool crisp nights and warm to hot days.  I just love this time of year because you can still go to the beach but you can also snuggle up with a blanket in the evenings, yummy Autumn weather.

The past couple of weeks I've found myself using and enjoying the following things more and more :)

Yeah baby, after years of using a very old, scratched and dying hairdryer I received this beauty from VS Sassoon some time ago!!!! How lovely is that?  I wasn't asked to review it or anything but because I love it so much I thought I'd include it here.

It's called the 'Ultimate Salon Dryer' and comes with a concentrator nozzle and a diffuser with two settings.  The dryer has 3 heat and 2 speed settings, it works really well and makes drying my hair a breeze, literally hahahahha. I'm not one for using a lot of heat on my hair but with the weather turning a bit cooler now I don't want to go to bed with wet hair so it's come in very handy.

I've really been enjoying playing with my new brushes from Sigma, after using cheaper brushes it's really nice to use better quality brushes.  I never thought there would be much of a difference in brushes but I guess I was wrong.. I have a review up on my YouTube about these brushes now and don't forget, you have a chance to win a set for yourself in my 20K comp (video response section).

NYX Round Lipstick - Miracle

Another thing I've been using more the last couple of weeks is my NYX lipstick, it's in 'Miracle' and it's really mushed up and well used and loved but the colour is great for this time of year, I just dab a little on with my finger so that it's not too overdone. I picked this up some time ago from Groove as they sell some NYX products in their stores.

How to Make Caribbean Refreshing Lemonade

I've been drinking heaps of water again, which can only be a good thing and I've started to add lemon to it sometimes, it's very refreshing and good for you.  A wonderful cleanser/detoxifier if you're looking for one, and on the not so healthy side, hahahaha I've been loving 'Mocha Frappes' lately too, I guess that's what happens when you work in a cafe!!

Lastly, another thing I've been loving lately is my Djembe, yeah I got this for Christmas but  haven't had as much time to play it as I'd like, so over the past couple of weeks I've made time for it and am loving my drumming release.

I hope you enjoy these little 'loving' posts I've been doing of things I find myself using alot of all of a sudden, it's funny how we might not use something for a while and then 'BAM' you find yourself using it every day.

I'm loving these right now ...

Ok so I thought I'd let you know what I've been using alot of over the past couple of weeks, you know, the things I am constantly grabbing for all of a sudden ...

Firstly above is my Clean Start Brightening Up tinted moisturiser, I'm finding I'm using this much more than my regular Clean Start moisturiser right now, I love how light it feels on my face and I'm thinking it could have something to do with the change in the seasons? Anyway, I've been using it every day lately.

Next is my Sigma Roundtop Kabuki - F82, I constantly use this brush for powder, I really do love it.

My Lime Crime Magic Dust in 'Top Hattie' which was sent from 'makeupnet.com', this is a really pretty loose eyeshadow that highlights the eyes beautifully! It has a slight sparkle which is really really pretty.

I've been using my Botanics Cheek Colour in 30 Pumpkin (above) alot over the past week or so, just seems to sit well on my face right now! I think I picked this up quite some time ago from Priceline and a nice eyeshadow pallet I picked up from Tantycosmetics is the NYX 10 Color Eyeshadow Palette in 'Velvet Rope', this is from 'The Runway Collection'. The colours have little sparkles in them and the purples are very, very nice.

Lastly, a couple of weeks ago I went Op-Shopping/Thrift Shopping and bagged myself a small bundle of bracelets, they are nice and 'earthy' looking, I tend to mix them with a couple of metal bracelets and denim ones too, I would have to say the thick shell one on the right is my best fav. They cost $2.00 for 4!!!!! Bargain
